Reporting into the Marketing Department this position is a full time position (1) year maternity leave contract. The incumbent will be responsible for the administrative functions required by the Marketing Department while always ensuring that brand Integrity is maintained and that the application of Olsen Europe Operating Philosophies are achieved:

 

  • Maximize all Revenue growth opportunities and Profitability with Brand Integrity
  • Ensure all interactions and communications are conducted with Respect and Integrity, both internally and externally
  • Ensure all Operating Best Practices are Efficient and Cost Effective in an entrepreneurial spirit

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

The incumbent is a highly organized individual with the ability to multi-task with no, or minimal supervision. She/he has a strong sense of responsibility and is highly motivated to acquire new skills, manage perse and complex administrative, communications and organizational tasks with speed, accuracy, discretion and clarity, while maintaining a focus on Olsen’s operating philosophies at all times.

 

  • Responsible for assisting the Marketing team in preparing seasonal marketing activity calendars, creating and adhering to production schedules and preparing communications to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Manages and monitors the marketing budget by conducting requests for project quotations, processing purchase orders, verifying invoices and preparing monthly budget reports.
  • Manages and updates department database including breakdown lists for marketing materials.
  • Monitors ongoing progress of customer database by segment, email database stats, and other key performance indicators (KPI report).
  • Compiles marketing promotion post data analysis & prepares summary to share with key team members.
  • Coordinates the distribution of marketing materials to all pisions: Retail Outlet and Wholesale.  Including catalogues, promotional calendar, line books, signage etc.
  • Updates Store Supplies Coordinator with most recent marketing material available to order.
  • Prepares seasonal account list of key independent retailers for both CAN and USA.  Prepares co-op advertising allotment, creates and sends co-op advertising packages and processes all co-op credit notes, inquiries and special requests. 
  • Partners & updates our Germany headquarters seasonally with new or changed store information for Website Store Locator.
  • Liaises with 3rd party vendors/partners to complete marketing projects including print production, direct mail campaigns, and advertising.
  • Liaises with landlords and shopping centre administrators to keep all free-standing mall websites updated with current promotions and events and to ensure mall advertising /event opportunities are maximized.
  • Works closely with our Merchandise department to review seasonal images used in advertising campaigns, signage and catalogues to accurately reflect the North American line.
  • Sends signage library to all new stores and follows up on all requests.
  • Assists in planning and executing warehouse sales (setup, communication: mailings and e-blasts and post mortem).
  • Liaises with key media and coordinates and supports PR activities and events.
  • Creates and sends e-blasts for both retail and outlet regarding all in-store events and promotions and monthly updates on new arrivals and seasonal trends. 
  • Responsible for proofing copy and content for various marketing materials.
  • Provides status updates and prepares post-meeting notes to cross functional members within the company.
  • Coordinates the associate name tags.

 

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES, TRAITS) AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Post-secondary education in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of the print production process.
  • Experience in a fashion retail environment is an asset.
  • Minimum of three years experience in Marketing is an asset.
  • Team oriented leadership style and ability to manage / work with perse groups of people.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office & Graphic Software  (CS 5.5, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong customer service, organizational and time management skills.
  • Team player, with an ability to work independently.
  • A professional demeanor.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Will be required to travel occasionally.
