Customer Service Representative - Maximus

Maximus is currently looking for Health Insurance BC Customer Service Representatives in Victoria. Maximus manages the administrative operations of the Medical Services Plan (MSP) and PharmaCare, under the program name Health Insurance BC.
 
What you will be doing
 
As our Customer Service Representative you will be responsible for responding to MSP and PharmaCare registration and MSP premium assistance enquiries. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Answers inbound calls from the general public regarding eligibility, enrolment and de-enrolment from the plans.
  • Enters data into a computer system as a result of telephone enquiries regarding requests to changes to account information and provides account maintenance such as personal data, payment and billing history
  • Escalates calls when appropriate
  • Understands a wide range of policies and procedures and applies procedures in a demonstrated consistent manner
  • Meets and exceeds performance standards for the department
  • Balances a confident communication style with the need to deliver accurate information.
  • Exercises assertive call control skills
  • Actively listens to calls, accurately re-stating the situation and provides solutions in line with policy
  • Co-operates with team members to achieve business goals.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a call centre environment
  • A minimum of one year clerical experience in a highly automated office environment which included use of computer skills and direct telephone communication with the public.
  • Experience as a client service representative handling general enquires.
  • Must have the ability to quickly learn additional computer software
  • Strong typing skills
  • Ability to operate general office equipment
  • Proficiency with word processing software (Microsoft Word, Excel, WordPerfect)
  • Fluently bilingual in Mandarin and Cantonese, asset
