Your duties will include:

 
  • Ensure yard and shop are maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Complete snow removal around shop and parking lot on a seasonal basis.
  • Ensure all equipment, tools and supplies are returned in good working condition to proper location, and immediately report any concerns, or damaged equipment or tools to Supervisor for repair or replacement.
  • Operate and maintain forklift in a safe manner; this includes utilizing proper safety precautions to ensure equipment and loads in the company forklift are safely secured for transportation, and ensuring daily maintenance is complete.
  • Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner; this may include completing pick up and drop off of customers as required, utilizing proper barriers to maintain vehicle cleanliness, and ensuring equipment and loads in company vehicles are safely secured for transportation. 
  • Perform various physical duties as directed by supervisor; this could include sorting, stacking, cleaning and minor building repair or maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts.

 

What does it take to get on track?

 
  • Completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of forklift operation; ability to achieve and maintain forklift certification. 
  • Customer service skills with ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers; this includes good communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proven ability to follow assigned tasks through to completion.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract from province of residence.
  • Basic computer skills to successfully complete required learning and safety courses and achieve certification where required.
  • Ability to consistently lift/carry 25 kilograms.
