Parts Technician (Thunder Bay Location)

Job Overview: As an important member of the store team, in this position you will:
  • Receive and sort incoming parts and supplies
  • Reconcile calculate inventory with physical counts
  • Prepare, maintain and update purchasing files, reports and price lists
  • Store inventory in an orderly and accessible manner
  • Process incoming requests and distribute parts and supplies for store usage
  • Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner; use proper barriers to maintain vehicle cleanliness, and ensure equipment and loads in company vehicles are safely secured for transportation
  • Support customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries

  • Completion of or willing to complete a parts technician apprenticeship program. Interprovincial Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of the automotive and heavy duty industry and skills required to provide to our customers. Mac and Volvo experience would be considered a definite asset.

  • Strong knowledge and appreciation for safe work environment and completion of WHMIS and other safety courses provided by Fountain Tire.
  • Demonstrated initiative in recognizing opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract from province of residence on an annual basis.
  • Intermediate computer skills .
  • Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms.
