Marketing Analyst/Specialist (Head Office Location)

Job Overview: As an important member of Marketing team, the successful candidate will gather and analyze information about products, customers, sales and markets, to assist in making support the business in making informed decisions to meet sales, gross margin, inventory turns, and category management objectives. 
  • Implement all pricing for Consumer (Light Vehicle) tire and mechanical products and services.
  • Coordinate all corporate passenger, light truck and mechanical promotions, including setup, deployment, and reporting.
  • Perform regular sales reporting and analysis for the passenger, light truck and mechanical categories (including associated products and services) to make recommendations that contribute to the development of Fountain Tire’s Consumer Product plan.
  • Maintain product database including product specifications and features and benefit information provided by vendors.
  • Complete item management for consumer products including accurate item setup, item maintenance, and follow up of discontinued items.
  • Analyze product information to determine the best products to inventory and sell. Make recommendations to Marketing and Supply Chain teams.
  • Extract facts and insights from customer data to determine specific customer segment needs, trends, or gaps in product, price, service, or support. 
  • Monitor, analyze and report on competitive information weekly for use in Retail Product, Pricing and Merchandising decisions.
  • Conduct market analysis to assist the Real Estate and Expansion Team with feasibility studies. Assist in pinpointing optimal sites for new stores.
  • Develop and review product category forecasts and market share information and distribute to Marketing and Supply Chain teams.
  • Measure customer retention and maintain the integrity of the customer database, which includes working with outside vendors. Provide reporting to Marketing and Operations teams.

  • Bachelors degree and 3 to 5 years of related experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Exceptional analytical, mathematical, statistical and conceptual skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Working knowledge of marketing concepts.
  • Ability to review and recommend improvements on business processes.
  • Demonstrates initiative in recognizing opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to various audiences.
  • Organization and time management skills to effectively manage multiple priorities and competing demands.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members, and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of database structures or experience with data base systems an asset.
  • Intermediate computer skills with experience using all facets of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX would be considered an asset.
